Throughout the year, America SCORES hosts several special events to raise support and to showcase its program.  These events range from corporate soccer tournaments, to gala fundraisers, to happy hour foosball tournaments.  We are constantly looking for ways to get more people exposed to and involved in the mission of America SCORES.  For more information on any of these events, please use the contact form here or email Brian Bullington at bbullington@americascores.org.

January 26. 2012:  The Red Carpet Poetry Slam is America SCORES Chicago's annual gala event.  Hosted in the elegant School of the Art Institute Ballroom, the event features a cocktail reception, Silent Auction, Wine Auction, and performances by select poet-athletes form America SCORES' program.  Click here for more information.  Sponsorships are available and in-kind silent auction items are always welcome.

Spring 2012:  The SCORES FoosCup is a happy-hour foosball (table soccer) tournament.  In teams of two, foosballers put their nerves, reaction times, and wrists to the test through pool play and playoffs.  With drink specials, appetizers and fast-paced play, FoosCup 2010 was a resounding success and participants have been anxiously anticipating this year's tournament.  Date and location are still TBD.  Click here for more information or here to suggest a foosball-friendly venue.

July 2012:  SCORES Cup is Chicago's largest corporate charity soccer tournament, and is now one of our biggest fundraisers.  The idea is simple: to bring together our City’s corporations for a day of friendly soccer competition, all for the support of our city’s youth.  Work the net, and network with some of the City's biggest names.  Compete on our field with competitors in your field.  See the SCORES Cup promotion video, see some images of past SCORES Cups, and contact Brian Bullington at bbullington@americascores.org if you'd like to help get your company into SCORES Cup 2011.

Summer/Fall 2012:  Kick Click & Score is a 14-hour soccer ball juggling marathon, raising funds for America SCORES and awareness for childhood obesity.  Broadcast live online, and hosted simultaneously with America SCORES Milwaukee, Kick Click & Score was too fun (and successful) not to do again.  Watch us live throughout the day, pledge a donation, or come join us for the marathon this summer.  Let us know if you are interested in participating, and see the results from 2010 here.

September 2012, South Halsted Gallery:  Inspired Art is a unique, month-long art exhibit inspired by and supporting the words of America SCORES' poet-athletes.  Each year, America SCORES puts out a call to local artists to choose a poem written by our youth and to create and donate original work inspired by that poem.  Works are displayed and auctioned at Pilsen's South Halsted Gallery.
